January is a month to make resolutions. It is gratifying to meet our goals, but do we focus on goals throughout the year? Probably not! It is important to start a New Year with a purpose in mind base on successes rather than failures. What is your plan for 2023?
Enero es un mes para hacer resoluciones. Es gratificante cumplir nuestras metas, pero ¿nos enfocamos en las metas a lo largo del año? ¡Probablemente no! Es importante comenzar un Año Nuevo con un propósito en mente basado en los éxitos en lugar de los fracasos. ¿Cuál es tu plan para 2023?

March is here and around the corner spring season that will bring its beautiful flowers, but intense showers. Along with my Christians friends, we are preparing for Easter with the Lenten Season. This time is the opportunity to renew our faith by giving, praying and fasting. It is never too late to celebrate a Blessed Holy Week.I wish you all a productive Lent and a Happy Spring!
Marzo está aquí y a la vuelta de la esquina vendrá la primavera trayendo sus bellas flores, pero intensas lluvias. Junto con mis amigos/as Cristianos/as es otra historia; nos estamos preparando para la Pascua con el tiempo de Cuaresma. Este tiempo es una oportunidad para renovar nuestra fe a través del dar, orar y ayunar. Nunca es tarde para celebrar una Bendecida Semana Santa.¡Les deseo a todos/as una productiva Cuaresma y una Alegre Primavera!

April is here. It’s time to leave behind the spiritual winter and celebrate the season of internal joy. As Christians we were welcoming Florid Easter, a time of renewal. Other traditions welcome Spring as symbol of new life. Trees, plants, fields are beginning to turn green and blossom; new life is emerging from the ground. Just as winter symbolizes death, spring symbolizes new life. Happy Easter!
Abril está aquí. Es hora de dejar atrás el invierno espiritual y celebrar un tiempo de gozo interno. Como cristianos/as le damos la bienvenida a la Pascua Florida o tiempo de renovación. Otras tradiciones dan la bienvenida a la primavera como símbolo de una nueva vida. Los árboles, las plantas, los campos están comenzando a volverse verdes y florecer; nueva vida está emergiendo de la tierra. Así como el invierno simboliza la muerte, la primavera simboliza una nueva vida. ¡Felices Pascuas!

Mothers are remembered on this memorable month of May, but for those whose mothers are not present is not easy to recall. However, it is important to recognize the value of giving birth, nurture, and taking care of a reliant being. Let us recognize the value of motherhood even if you are not a mother; we all need to embrace parenthood with love, responsibility and care.Have a Happy May!
Las Madres son recordadas en este memorable mes de Mayo, pero para aquellos/as que sus madres no están presentes no es fácil de recordar. Sin embargo es importante darle el reconocimiento a esta magnífica experiencia de dar a luz, alimentar, y cuidar a un indefenso ser. Apreciemos el valor de la maternidad aunque no seas madre; todos/as necesitamos acoger la paternidad con amor, responsabilidad, y cariño.¡Tengan un Feliz Mayo!

Welcome June! As the earth spins, one could feel the gentle breeze, others the cruel freeze. While Mother Nature screams out, "Be gentle, it's all I ask." How many times do we hear, "It is time to take care of our planet," but what are we doing to protect our Common House? I invite you this month to be conscious about this topic and take action by reusing, reducing and recycling. Have a blessed and happy summer/winter wherever you are.
¡Bienvenido Junio! Mientras que la tierra rota, unos podrán sentir la briza suave, otros el cruel frio. Mientras la Madre Naturaleza grita, "Ten cuidado conmigo, es todo lo que pido." Cuántas veces hemos escuchado, “Es tiempo de cuidar nuestro planeta”, pero ¿qué estamos haciendo para cuidar de nuestra Casa Común? Te invito éste mes a tomar conciencia sobre el tema y actuar. The Holy Rosary is not devotion of the past, yet the present. I invite you to pray the Rosary for peace.Let’s raise our voices to beg for help to the Queen of Peace who intercede for us!
Octubre, mes dedicado al Santo Rosario. Si, al Santo Rosario. Puede parecer extraño, pero aún seguimos rezando esta devoción del siglo XIII. El Santo Rosario no es una devoción de siglo pasados, sino del presente. Te invito a rezar el Rosario por la paz.¡Levantemos nuestras voces y roguemos a la Reina de la Paz que interceda por nosotros!

For Christians, December is a time of preparation for Christmas. During four weeks of waiting period called Advent, we prepare an Advent Wreath. Each Sunday a candle will be lit. The first, second, and forth candle are purple and the third candle is pink color. These colors represent a time of preparation and joy for the birthday of Jesus; reason for the season. This year, I invite you to set aside the commercial rush and find the real reason of the season. Don’t forget to collect family memories not possessions.Happy New Year!
Para los cristianos, Diciembre es un tiempo de preparación a la Navidad. Durante cuatro semanas o período de espera llamada Adviento, preparamos una Corona de Adviento. Cada domingo se enciende una vela. La primera, segunda y cuarta vela son púrpura y la tercera vela es de color rosado. Estos colores representan la espera y gozo de la celebración al Nacimiento de Jesús; razón de la Navidad. Éste año, los invito a dejar a un lado las congestiones comerciales de ésta temporada y encontremos la razón de la Navidad. No olvides coleccionar memorias familiares no posesiones.¡Feliz Nuevo Año!
